About Us

Welcome to the Dundrum Football Club (DFC) Web Site. Situated in Meadowbrook, Dundrum, Dublin 14, our club has been committed to encouraging our community's participation in sport for 40 years.

The club is managed on an entirely voluntary basis by a group of approximately 35 adults, running 24 schoolboy/schoolgirl soccer teams, two Men's senior teams, an over 35s team, our Women's senior team and our Special Olympics team.

In terms of matches alone this involves the planning and organising of approximately 400 matches both home and away throughout each season.

Our home ground is Meadowbrook Park, which comprises of two full size pitches and two seven-a-side pitches. Our state of the art clubhouse was opened in 2004 and is a major asset to both the club and local community.

Apart from managing the 29 teams throughout the season, the club organises a large range of other community-based activities including summer football schools with the Football Association of Ireland, summer soccer blitz, coaching courses, first-aid training for managers, and football trials. It also provides football services to the nearby St. Attractas' national school and Our Lady’s national school in Ballinteer.

DFC is represented in the South Dublin League, Dublin & District Schoolboys League, Leinster Senior League, and the Amateur League.

Our aim is to provide a facility where players from the age of five, can develop their skills and reach their full potential in a friendly and safe environment. A considerable effort in terms of finance and time is made to constantly develop our coaching programme and upskill both managers and players alike.

As a Club we are intensely proud of our heritage and the contribution the Club has made, and continues to make, to the local community. Over the past number of years the club has developed considerably and we look forward with confidence and optimism to a very successful future.
